🔍PRISM Remote ID

As of September 16, 2023, operators in the USA will be required to enable Remote ID functionality to any unmanned aircraft flying under Part 107.

As the architecture for PRISM was created in 2019, well before this rule (or ASTM requirement was created), PRISM does not have the capability of complying with the Standard Remote ID Requirements.

With that being said however, Watts Innovations does recommend the use of an aftermarket module such as the uAvionix pingRID module or Dronetag Beacon module, which would allow the user a plug and play experience without any sort of additional integration from Watts Innovations. The user may simply purchase this module, follow the manufacturer's recommended setup steps, attach it to the drone, and then be compliant with Remote ID via means of a module.
