Data Storage

Users have three (3) options to store imagery (photo and video) collected with the Sony A7RIV through the following methods:

  1. Camera - stored directly on the SD Cards inserted into Slot 1 & Slot 2 on the Sony A7RIV. This method is chosen by the aircraft by default when the user switches the camera mode to Video.

NOTE: If you select Camera for the storage location for a Survey Mission, the images stored on the camera will NOT be geotagged.

  1. External USB - stored directly to an external storage device inserted into the USB-C port in the rear of PRISM Sky. For the External USB device, we recommend the Samsung Type-C USB Flash Drive 64GB.

NOTE: This method should be chosen for applications where having geotagged images is a requirement (mapping, modeling, etc.)

  1. Both - Camera and External USB.
