Serial Numbers & Labeling

This page outlines the serial numbering and labeling requirements for Standard Remote ID for PRISM Lite.

Serial Numbers

In compliance with ANSI/CTA-2063-A in accordance with ยง 89.505, the vehicle serial number is using Watts Innovations registered manufacturing code, followed by a single character indicating the length of the serial number, followed by the device serial number itself. PRISM Lite will display the vehicle serial number on a label on its front left arm socket. The label will be in English and legible, prominent, and permanently affixed to both the unmanned aircraft and its packaging.

The serial numbers of the PRISM Lite are as follows:

NOTE: All aircraft shipped prior to September 16th, 2022 are NOT Remote ID enabled and are NOT compliant with Part 89 and cannot be updated with any of our standard remote ID compliant firmware to claim compliance. If your aircraft does not display our custom, permanently affixed label with the full serial number as described below upon delivery, your aircraft is NOT remote ID compliant. If your aircraft was shipped before September 16th, 2022 it is your responsibility to comply with Part 89 through purchasing an FAA approved Remote ID Broadcast Module to retrofit on your aircraft.
