Connecting/Updating AOS for PRISM Sky

This page provides instructions for updating AuterionOS for PRISM Sky.

In order to update PRISM Sky, the aircraft must be first powered on and connected to a Windows 10 computer via the ethernet port.

PRO-TIP: During the firmware update process, users may choose to leave the motor arms in the folded position. Just be sure not to plug them back into the aircraft while the drone is powered.

Connecting PRISM Sky to a PC

  1. Using a standard ethernet cable, connect one end to the Ethernet port on your PC

  2. Connect the other end to the rear of the aircraft into the RJ45 port on the Bottom Canopy.

  3. Power up PRISM Sky utilizing at least one battery.

  4. In the Settings page of your PC, go to the Network & Internet Settings > Change adapter options and double-click the Ethernet adapter connected to the aircraft

  5. In the Ethernet Status window, select Properties

  6. Double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)

  7. In the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties window, select Use the following IP address and enter in the following: IP ADDRESS: 10.223.100.50

    SUBNET MASK: 255.255.0.0

  8. Click OK to confirm these settings.

Updating PRISM Sky

Now that PRISM Sky is connected to the PC, follow the steps below to update the aircraft:

NOTE: This process may take anywhere from 5-10 minutes once the update has started. During this time do not disconnect or power down the aircraft!

  1. With the vehicle connected to the PC via the Ethernet cable and powered on, open a Web Browser (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge) and type in the following IP address: 10.223.0.69.

  2. At this time, the PRISM Sky information page will appear. Under the section where it says Update AuterionOS, click the File folder button and navigate to the .AOS file that has previously been downloaded from Auterion Suite.

  3. Now click UPDATE. The vehicle will now begin updating.

  4. Once the vehicle has been updated, it will show a SUCCESS notification.

  5. After this, you may power down the aircraft.

  6. Power the aircraft back on and return to the 10.223.0.69 page (or refresh the page) and under โ€œSoftware Versionโ€ you will now see the firmware version has indeed been updated to the latest version.
