Sony A7RIV
This page provides instructions for preparing a Sony A7RIV camera to use with PRISM Sky.
In order to use a Sony A7RIV with PRISM Sky the camera settings must be set properly in order for it to communicate with the aircraft. Follow the steps below to configure the required settings.
Settings
Install lens and insert two (2) dual UHS-II SD cards into the Sony A7RIV (optional)
NOTE: It is only required to insert SD cards into the Sony A7RIV if you want to record video or capture images directly to your cameras SD.
PRO-TIP: For mapping applications it is recommended to use a fixed (prime) lens between 24mm-35mm.
Ensure the following are set:
A - Aperture Priority
Exposure Wheel locked to 0
Set focus switch on lens to AF
If lens includes aperture ring, set to A
Power on the Sony A7RIV camera.
Open the camera settings by pressing the MENU button.
Navigate to the Network1 page.
Locate and open PC Remote Function.
Set PC Remote to On.
Set PC Remote Cnct Method is set to USB.
